SHINE Soup Kitchen provides around 500 hot meals to hungry families every week. For more than 20 years, they have carried out this ministry from a former high school cafeteria in downtown Easley. In early 2025, they were asked to relocate. After much searching and a great deal of prayer, SHINE approached the Session of Easley Presbyterian Church about using the church’s kitchen and a Sunday School classroom for its pantry. The Session gave unanimous consent. With more than 175 volunteers from churches throughout the community (including EPC), SHINE stands as an ecumenical witness to the love of Christ for the world. Easley Presbyterian Church is grateful for the opportunity to partner with them in this continued work.
